Biography
Megan LaCroix is a graduate from the textiles program at OCAD University in Toronto Ontario. Beginning her professional life as a preschool teacher she decided to pursue textiles in order to satisfy a lifelong interest in art and design.
Through her studies at OCAD U and inspired by the creative practice of artists such as Gertrude Stein, her work reflects an in depth investigation of creativity and making meaning through art.
Though she works in a variety of creative processes her most recent body of work utilizes appliqué, to create vibrant abstract compositions using found textiles. She currently works and resides in Port Coquitlam British Columbia.
